Mad-Eye seems like a nice guy. However, I fear he may not last long in this competition with how active he's been. Gordon told me about his situation how he may only appear in the evenings. Since most of the challenges take place during the day, it will greatly hinder his team and may be considered a weak link. On the original Hufflepuff, Ashley wanted to vote him off if we were ever to have to face explussion. I'm not sure how much they're helping each other now. If Gordon can find some way to influence the rest of the Gryffindor to spare Mad-Eye, when he might stand a chance.
