Jurors, Host, Prefects, and fellow finalists...
First of all WOW!! We did it I am so excited to have made the finals in season four at Durmstrang. I wanted to thank everyone involved in putting together this game, participating, and making it an overall enjoyable experience. A special thanks to my fellow finalists, Edie, and Gordon for sticking it out with me till the very end. I can't say I ever imagined being aligned with a kitty, a ghost, and a chef, but I am glad I was. Regardless of the winner of this season, I made unforgettable friendships, and bonds that can't even compare to the title of winning Harry Potter Durmstrang, but that would be nice too lol!!!!
I came into this game with no preexisting alliances, ofcourse I recognized a few of the AIM names, and past personalities but I really tried not to show that I had been involved in previous seasons, hoping that my new character, Julie the knocked up television host, could have a solid shot. I came back for the fourth season to test out my strengths as a player. I had played the strong winning challenges strategy in season 2 and it prevailed to do well for me but after jury questions and thoughts I wanted to see if I could prove I could do it without dominating in challenges. In season 3 I did not even have a shot at dominating as Kara Thrice kicked some serious ass and gained definate respect from me. I came into it wanting to play more social and laid back. It did not get me to the finals but still proved that a strong social game can work to your advantage as much as winning lots of challenges. Season 4 for me was trying to mix up both personalities combining strength in challenges, and being the social butterfly. Clearly it got me to where I am now.
Starting out in Slythrn the snake ladies were born. We started off kicking some serious butt. I had made a good strong bond with Angie and Farrah, not to forget our snake man Phil. Outside of Slythrn I found myself drawn to Edie with her strong personality and clear passion for the game. She was soon adopted as a hufflepuff snake lady in my mind. After the house swap I found myself drifting away from the original Slythrn members and getting to know the other students. I still promised myself I would stick strong to my word to my fellow Slythrns as long as I could in this game, but knew for me to go farther I would have to branch out to the other students. This is where in my mind I solidfied a final four in my head, of Edie, Gordon, and Crookshanks. The ghost, the kitty, the chef and the pregnant telvision host was my plan to rock this game. We consistantly continued to win challenges and kept the advantages at expulsion.
I was constantly sent to the tower, not the best place for a knocked up television host. I honestly spent hours imputting passwords craving to find out what was hidden in the secret tower. Finally on my third time being sent to the tower I was overwhelmed with frustration as I had tried every single Harry Potter character I could imagine. I started all over so I was on my second eight hour shift of password imputting. Just when I thought I would scream and give up, poof it opened and I was relieved to find a link that lead me to one of the three deathly hallows that played as a hidden immunity idol. With the idol came a special task. I was asked to pick two people I considered allies and three people I considered enemies. I had chosen Edie and Gordon to get the other two idols, and was not sure what would be coming to my enemies. I almost rolled over in shock when Bart, Patrick, and Anglie ( the three I chose ) told me they had gotton into the basement and found what they all thought to me idols. It was not about picking enemies for me it was about picking others outside my alliance that were the strongest threats to Edie, Gordon, Crookshanks and myself. After Bart played his idol and went home, the cat was out of the bag, and clearly the others knew that the idols they thought they had were fakes. This double eviction I think shocked all of us and I don't think any of us saw it coming so early in the game.
We lost Angie at this point. I was not at expulsion but knew that she was a strong player and that she was the only one at expulsion still that was a major threat not later aligned with me. I only actually ever ended up at two expulsions which were the final two where Crookshanks and Megan went home. In the week that Crookshanks went I knew I was the only one that had given him my word to fo to the finals and for the others it made more sense to eliminate a threat instead of Megan who played a little more reserved this game. I had explained to the others that I promised not to write any of their names down and that included my pretty kitty, and so I did not but I knew that he was going and it was the crappiest part of the game. The final eviction I felt pretty confident but obviously worried at the same time. There is never a guarentee that your alliance will take you to the finals if they may think your a threat. I was fortunate enough to have such a solid core alliance that the vote became easy and sadly Megan was next to be expelled. And here we are.
Throughout the game I won challenges when I had to, I laid back and let others take some heat when I knew it was in my best interest not to be a complete threat. With everyone knowing I had been to the tower so often I knew some would assume I already had the idol that was most likely in the tower, but glad they did not know I was able to share my find with two close allies. We had the majority when we had to play them just sadly Crookshanks felt uneasy and had used his a week earlier and sealed his fate from final five to final four ..... I tried to get to know everyone a little but throughout the game and apologize for those I never got the chance to befriend. Lacey, Bart, Angie, Phil, Patrick, Crookshanks and Megan you all played amazing games, and now the game is in your hands. I wish you the best of luck in your decision and hope to see my name on that parchment but if not, each of you still have earned all the respect in the world from me. I look forward to your questions.
Thank You Everyone
